Jakarta -The rescue operation of the Thai football team trapped in the Chiang Rai cave, north of Thailand, entered a third day.

Of the 13 people trapped, 8 people have been expelled. The rescued children were immediately taken to a local hospital.

Head of the rescue operation Narongsak Osottanakorn said the divers team succeeded in speeding up rescue operations for up to two hours faster on operations Monday (9/7/2018) than the previous day’s operations.

The third-day rescue operation is expected to take place on Tuesday (10/7) afternoon local time. Unpredictable weather conditions become evacuation inhibitors.

Because the rain water can re-soak the cave. Meanwhile, it takes 6 hours for the divers to get to the location of these children and 5 more hours to take them out to the cave mouth.

“Everything depends on the weather, if the rain helps us, then we can work quickly, but if the rain does not help, it will be very challenging,” he told Reuters on Tuesday (10/7).

Those trapped in Tham Luang Cave are members of Moo Pa soccer club, consisting of 12 adolescents aged 11-16 years and a 25 year old trainer. They have been trapped since Saturday (23/6) and found nine days later.

The rescue team consists not only of Thai soldiers and volunteers but also British cave divers as well as Australian troops and a number of other countries.

Elon Musk the billionaire has visited the cave and abandoned a space-sized diving capsule made by SpaceX, his company, yesterday.

Musk, who is also the founder of Tesla, has submitted his intention to help the evacuation process by offering some artificial technology SpaceX.

“Just came back from Cave. Mini submarine is ready if needed. This mini submarine was made using rocket-making components and called Wild Boar like the kids soccer club. [I] left it here just in case if needed in the future, “he said via Twitter.
