JAKARTA – Garuda Indonesia, a full service airline (FSA), opens Jakarta – Nagoya PP flight routes starting March 23, 2019.
Garuda Indonesia Managing Director IGN Askhara Danadiputra said the opening of this route was part of the airline’s commitment to support government programs, particularly in improving business relations between Japan and Indonesia.
In addition, this effort can support the acceleration of national economic growth, especially in encouraging increased investment in the manufacturing industry.
“As the fourth largest city in Japan and known as one of the busiest industrial and manufacturing cities in Japan, making Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture a potential market share for Garuda Indonesia,” Askhara said in a press release on Thursday (03/07/2019 )
The man who is familiarly called Ari Askhara explained that he would use Airbus A330 type aircraft with 36 seats in business class capacity and 186 seats in economy class.
According to him, the route is not only to strengthen the international flight network of Garuda Indonesia, but is able to increase the number of visits by Japanese businessmen and foreign tourists to Indonesia. One of its destinations is Jakarta as the largest economic center in Indonesia.
He added that Japan is one of the most important market shares for Garuda. For more than 50 years, Garuda has shown its support for strong bilateral relations between Indonesia and Japan.
Ari hopes that with the opening of this service, passengers are expected to be able to enjoy more choices of flights and destinations to Japan and Indonesia and vice versa. Garuda will serve Jakarta – Nagoya pp flights 4 times per week (Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
Flight from Jakarta to Chubu Centrair International Airport with GA 884 at 23.35 WIB and will arrive at Chubu Centraair International Airport the next day at 07.25 LT.
Garuda will fly back from Chubu Centrair International Airport with GA 885 at 10:00 a.m. and arrive at Soekarno-Hatta airport at 3:00 p.m.
