Jakarta – The land certification process of four special economic zones (KEK) will be completed on March 29, 2018. Thus, the four SEZs can be officially inaugurated in the middle of this year, namely KEK Tanjung Api-Api, KEK Maloy Batuta Trans Kalimantan (MBTK), KEK Bitung and Morotai KEK.
The decision was taken in a coordination meeting chaired by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution as Chairman of the National Council of Special Economic Zones (KEK) at the office of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta, Friday (16/3/2018).
Secretary of the National Council of KEK Enoh Suharto Pranoto, explaining the land area of 92.96 hectares for Bitung area KEK has been released. The disputed land already has legal provisions from the local court. The Governor of North Sulawesi has processed the land certification to the Ministry of ATR / BPN through the North Sulawesi Regional Office.
KEK MBTK has also controlled 518.34 hectares of land. However, there are 6 hectares whose field map is not yet complete. In a coordination meeting yesterday it was decided that if within a week this can not be completed the completeness of the 6 hectare land administration, then the certification process for the completed land administration will continue.
Then, the Morotai KEK is processing 222 hectares of land certification. All requirements and completeness of administration have been submitted to the Ministry of ATR / BPN. Just waiting for the certificate issued.
Happiness KEK Tanjung Api-Api. KEK located in South Sumatra Province is indeed not yet managed to free the entire land. From the target of 200 hectares of land, which has been successfully acquired 153 hectares.
As the certification process proceeds, a Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) stipulates that the KEK Tanjung Api-Api field is peat so that industrial development can not be done there. Finally the certification process at the ATR / BPN Ministry was postponed to request clarification beforehand to the LHK Minister.
“Yesterday afternoon we received a letter of clarification from the Minister of LHK stating that the KEK Tanjung Api-Api field is apparently that entering peatland is only 4%. The rest is non peat land that can be used as industrial development, “said Enoh in a written statement, Jakarta, Saturday (17/3/2018).
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Trade and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) have agreed to complete the delegation of authority to the KEK Administrator in April 2018.
“But there have been some required by the Ministry of Trade and BKPM, that prior to the delegation of authority there should be a SEEK Administrator who is trained first. So that the services to prospective investors by KEK Administrator will run optimally. The training will be held in early April, “said Enoh.
After the certification process was completed on March 29, 2018, and the process of delegating the authority of the Ministry of Trade and BKPM to the KEK Administrator completed by the end of April, the next phase is the launching of the Tanjung Api-Api KEK operation, the Malindo Batuta Trans Kalimantan (MBTK) KEK, KEK Bitung and KEK Morotai.
