JAKARTA -South Korean President Moon Jae-in will welcome leader Kim Jong Un on the border of the two countries tomorrow as the North Korean leader crossing the border of both countries’ military demarcation.
Moon will welcome his guests on the barrier wall marking the second border of Korea, also called Demilitarized Zone, South Korea’s Presidential Secretariat, Im Jong-seok as quoted by ChannelNewsAsia.com, Thursday (26/4/2018).
When Kim stepped on the border then he will become the first North Korean leader to step his foot since both countries ended the war 65 years ago.
Kim will receive a military reception and the two leaders will then walk to the Peace House building, a glass-walled concrete building located on the southern side where a ceasefire takes place in the village of Panmunjom. In the historic village a high-level meeting was held.
Kim will sign the guest book before the morning session begins. The meeting was called the “High Level Summit for Peace and Prosperity of the Korean Peninsula”.
The delegates will carry out lunch separately from the two country leaders of the same family.
Moon and Kim will also plant a mutual peace tree on the demarcation line in the Peace House yard by late afternoon, he said. After that they will sign a joint statement.
Dinner will be held on the night before Kim returns to his country.
