Jakarta -Vice Governor of DKI and Minister of Agriculture review the readiness of Equestrian Park Equestrian Park Equestrian Park in Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta to welcome the Asian Games event.
Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta, Sandiaga Uno and Minister of Agriculture, Amran Sulaiman monitored the situation around the equestrian venue by riding a horse. As for the visit, both are accompanied by athletes and building management.
“Today we test the readiness of Jakarta Equestrian Park which will be the venue of Equestrian activities during the Asian Games.And thank God thanks to all the cooperation, Pulo Mas Jaya, Central Government, Local Government and all levels of society, I stated today Jakarta Equestrian Park is ready for Asian Games, “Sandi said in a press release on Saturday (14/7/2018).
He explained that Jakarta Equestrian Park is equipped with parks and some artificial ponds in order to reforest the area of 35.25 hectares. In addition, this equestarian has several supporting facilities such as 160 horse stables, 3.1 km of tracks and 35 hectares, 920 seater capacity with disabled seats, and parking spaces. As soon as the Asian Games is over, the dormitory area will switch function to hotel.
“So, it is ready to be used for the Asian Games and athletes have been practicing, we also try to jointly with athletes after the Asian Games how this place can also be a means to support community activities,” he said.
Technical consultant for equestrian venue construction for Asian Games 2018, Rafiq Radinal added that the horses that come to compete will pass quarantine process especially health check. Rafiq hopes with the presence of Jakarta Equestrian Park, the Indonesian equestrian athletes increasingly trained hard to achieve the best performance.
“Our athletes are still relying on Larasati for dressage, hopefully we can still make [achievement] and still better yet hopefully gold (Asian Games),” he explained.
