Jakarta -The national training coach (pelatnas) wrestling for the 2018 Asian Games, Buyamin, admitted optimistic that the sport can contribute gold medals at the Asian Games.
“We are optimistic to contribute gold medals for Indonesia at the upcoming Asian Games,” said Buyamin at Icuk Sugiarti Training Camp (ISTC) Sukabumi, West Java, Tuesday.
Buyamin admitted that currently preparations for the 2018 Asian Games wrestling pelatnas have entered 80-85 percent guided by four coaches, including one of them Uzbek coach Edem Abduraimov.
Furthermore, after the pelatnas completed at the end of March, 18 athletes involved in pelatnas wrestling Asian Games 2018 will conduct trials to Italy and Bulgaria.
Both countries are considered appropriate to sharpen the mental and skills of athletes pelatnas wrestling, because in both countries many athletes excel in the branch.
“Surely national wrestling athletes can take their knowledge so as to increase their mental skills and strength,” said Buyamin.
“As a host at this Asian Games we will surely give the best for Indonesia by winning medals, especially gold, there are some that must be addressed like mental athletes and their readiness in facing the opponent later,” he concluded.
