JAKARTA -Avengers movie: Infinity War successfully collected US $ 630 million, or Rp8, 73 trillion, globally in its first weekend after it was released on April 27, 2018.
According to Boxofficemojo data cited Monday (30/4/2018), Disney and Marvel films managed to record revenue of US $ 250 million in the US market. This achievement makes the film a record breaking revenue in the inaugural weekend in the Land of Uncle Sam.
In the global market, Infinity War successfully broke the record previously held by The Fate of the Furious who earned US $ 541.9 million which was released in April 2017. Infinity War revenue is expected to continue to increase because the film has not been released in China, a market that became the target international film producers because the scale is huge.
Especially for Indonesia, the film has earned revenue of US $ 9.6 million or approximately Rp133, 17 billion. This figure also makes Infinity War as the best-selling film on the inaugural weekend in Indonesia, just like in the US.
