JAKARTA – The government recorded 325 new cases of Covid-19 positive patients in Indonesia, totaling 325 people, bringing the total number of Covid-19 confirmed patients to 6,248 cases.
Government spokesperson for handling Covid-19 Achmad Yurianto said the data was obtained until this afternoon, Saturday (4/18/2020).
According to him, the latest data was collected from all hospitals that treat Covid-19 patients throughout Indonesia. The addition of positive cases of Covid-19 was obtained from the examination of polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
“Thus, the total number of positive patients has now been confirmed to be 6,248 cases,” Yuri, Yurianto said, in a press conference on Saturday (4/18/2020).
In addition, there were an additional 15 deaths. Thus, to date there have been 535 people who died from the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Indonesia.
On the other hand, there were 24 patients who were cured. That way, a total of 631 patients have recovered.
Even so, he said the government still deplored the high number of patients who died from the Corona virus.
Therefore, Yuri asked the public to obey the government’s call to wash their hands using soap and running water, use masks, and maintain social distance.
