Jakarta -The National Movement 1000 Startup Digital Shoots New Focus in 6 Industry Sectors namely agriculture, education, health, tourism, logistics, and smart energy.
Entering the third wave, the movement that has a vision of establishing Indonesia as ‘The Digital Energy of Asia’ has successfully pioneered high quality digital based companies after running from 2016.
“Up to now there are 137 startups that have passed the incubation stage in 1000 Startup,” said Prasetyo Andy Wicaksono, Founder Code for Indonesia when met at the seminar ‘Building Awareness of Potentials of a Problem’ at Anantakupa Auditorium, Kominfo, Saturday 24/3/2018).
Given the potential of digital industry in Indonesia which currently has about 93.4 million internet users and 71 million smart phone device users, it can be a big capital for Indonesia to develop e-commerce and digital technology based business in the country.
The initiator of the 1000 Startup Digital National Movement, Yansen Kamto, said that the seminar ‘Building Awareness of the Potentials of a Problem’ is an early stage of the 6 stages of the 1000 Startup Digital National Movement.
“Yeah, this third wave of the event today is the Ignition phase, which is the first stage of the 6 stages that must be passed by friends who participated in this 1000 startup movement,” said Yansen.
The next steps are networking, workshop, hacksprint, bootcamp, and incubation. Where at this year’s seminar the 1000 startup movement invites speakers who have competence in 6 fields of industry namely agriculture, education, health, tourism, logistics, and smart energy.
“So this is different from the previous years, if previously there has not been a solution in the sectors, yes, this year the present can learn and find the right idea of what problems in the 6 industry sectors,” added Yansen.
Currently the 1000 Startup Digital National Movement has captured more than 32,000 registrants, and has received over 6,000 participants, involving 370 mentors and startups who have passed the incubation stage in ten cities of 137 startups.
