Bank BNI Syariah is planned to get an injection of Rp1 trillion in the fourth quarter of 2017 from the parent company PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.
Plt. President Director of Bank BNI Syariah Abdullah Firman Wibowo confirmed that when Bisnis.com met him on the sidelines of the launching of card financing in Jakarta at the weekend (22/9/2017).
“Our hope with this addition will strengthen the capital ratio by about 4%,” he said.
Firman, Abdullah Firman Wibowo, said that the fund will also be used to balance the financing distribution between consumer and commercial segments, which is currently dominant.
“Well, we projection within 1 to 2 years will balance. This is also in accordance with the spirit of OJK that banks need to encourage the productive sector, “he said.
Until the first half of 2017, this subsidiary of BBNI booked a capital adequacy ratio (CAR) at 14.33%.
The ratio has decreased compared to the same period last year of 15.56%. Firman is optimistic that his staff can achieve CAR position at the 18% level by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, BNI Syariah’s financing grew 18.85% year on year at the end of first semester / 2017 to Rp22.56 trillion from Rp18.98 trillion.
Of the total financing amounting to Rp22.56 trillion, most of the financing is consumer segment 51.9%, productive retail financing or SMEs 21.7%, commercial 19.3%, micro 5.6%, and Hasanah Card financing cards around 1.5%.
