Garuda Flight Cancellation Incident Unrelated to Presidential Aircraft

Garuda Indonesia flight cancellation incident on Friday that had been linked with the presidential plane denied the Palace.

The presidential palace declared the cancellation of Garuda’s flight had nothing to do with the presidential plane of Indonesia-1.

Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media Secretariat of President Bey Machmudin, in a press release, received on Sunday, said the news that mentioning the flight of the Indonesia-1 presidential plane made Garuda’s flight void was incorrect.

Bey revealed Garuda flight from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali on Friday should depart at 21.30 WITA delayed and finally canceled.

According to Bey, the cancellation was not related to the flight of the presidential plane of Indonesia-1.

President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo had taken off from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, at 18:20 pm and arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Jakarta at 19.00 WIB.

Bey said a considerable time difference clearly indicates there is no connection between Garuda flight delays with the presidential plane.

When Garuda flight is supposed to depart at 21.30 WITA, the presidential plane has been at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Jakarta for more than 1 hour.
