Jakarta -A total of 10 people were killed while two others were wounded when a four-story hotel collapsed in the densely populated Indian town of Indore, on Saturday night, a local police official said.
Rescue efforts have been completed and no further casualties, said assistant sub-inspector, Ramesh Kirade, told Reuters by telephone.
The hotel building is known to be old age. But until now the cause of the collapse of the building is still unknown, Kirade said.
According to local news reports, the hotel building collapsed when a heavy vehicle crashed into it.

The collapse of buildings is a common phenomenon in India, where building officials and builders often break the rules and ignore the need for renovation of old building structures.
In August last year, a 117-year-old building collapsed in the financial district of Mumbai, killing at least 22 people.
