Jakarta – The Chairperson of the Constitutional Court Judge Anwar Usman closed the hearing on the dispute over the results of the 2019 Presidential Election with number 01 / PHPU-PRES / XVII / 2019. He also asked the applicant, the respondent and related parties to wait for the next agenda to hear the decision.
“This case investigation has been completed. The case number 01 / PHPU-PRES / XVII / 2019 has been completed and the parties requesting, the respondent and parties related to the Election Supervisory Board for the next agenda will be notified by the court,” Anwar said in the Court’s courtroom Constitution (MK), Central Jakarta, Friday (6/21/2019).
“For the pronouncement of the verdict. It is finished, yes, and there are no more things left, so the trial is over and closed,” continued Anwar.
At the end of the trial, Anwar Usman delivered a closing statement, which also referred to the Qur’anic verses. The letter chosen is the Anisa verse 58 which contains the enforcement of justice.
“For us who are Muslims, God willing, we still hold fast to Allah’s message An-nisa verse 58,” said Anwar.
Anwar also recited the holy verse in Arabic, accompanied by his translation.
“Indeed, Allah tells you to deliver the message to those who have the right to receive it, and if you determine the law among men, you should determine it fairly. Indeed, Allah is the best who teaches you. Indeed, Allah is Hearing, Seeing,” Anwar said.
It is known that the trial of the dispute over the results of the presidential election was held for five days. Starting from Friday (6/14/2019) the agenda of the hearing was to listen to the subject of the request from the applicant in this case the Prabowo-Sandi camp. Then on Tuesday (6/18/2019) the agenda of the hearing listened to the answers of the defendants, namely the General Election Commission (KPU), information from related parties namely Jokowi-Ma’ruf, and information from the Bawaslu.
On Wednesday (6/19/2019) presented a witness from the applicant’s side. Then it was continued on Thursday (6/20/2019) with the agenda of the session attending from the respondent. Then on Friday (6/21/2019) with the agenda of listening to the relevant witnesses.
