PGN Gas Pipes Leaked Due to Drilling of LRT Pesticide Poll at Cawang

JAKARTA – Gas pipe owned by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk. leaked due to Light Rail Transit (LRT) project piling in Cawang, East Jakarta.

East Jakarta Dept. of East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (East Jakarta) Head of East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Gatot Sub-dept.) Gatot Sulaeman said it received a report from one of LRT project staff named Indra on Monday (12/3/2018) night. The incident occurred at the construction site of LRT Jabodetabek, precisely in front of the office of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), Cawang, East Jakarta at 20.00 pm.

Responding to the report, East Jakarta Damkar Team deployed three units, consisting of two medium pressure units and one high pressure unit from Post PGC.

Total personnel deployed amounted to five people since 20:20 pm. The team began handling at 20:45 pm and is still going on until now.

“The Damkar team is guarding and helping to clean up the pipe that is buried in the ground, we also do the pipeline and valve closing process,” Gatot said.

He said MT Haryono Street leads to Pancoran, or precisely in front of the BNN office, closed for a while so as to cause the flow of traffic around it to experience density.

“We have to close the road until the evacuation process is completed,” said Gatot firmly.
