UNBK 2018: Computer Based National Exam Participants Increases Significantly in Numbers

Jakarta -Computer-based national exam participants or UNBK this year recorded an increase in number.

In fact, according to the Head of Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Education and Culture Totok Suprayitno, said the number of participants UNBK 2018 increased significantly compared to the previous year.

“This year is the fourth year of UNBK implementation, the number of participants has increased significantly,” said Totok in Jakarta, Friday (23/3/2018).

The number of students who will follow UNBK in 2018 as many as 6,293,552 participants or significantly increased compared to the previous year which only 3,659,696 million students. In UN 2018, as many as 78% of students follow UNBK.

While in UN 2017, the percentage of students who follow UNBK as much as 65.4% and National Pencil Paper Exam (UNKP) as much as 34.6%. While in UN 2016, the number of students who follow UNBK as many as 922,447 participants.

“The first time we held UNBK in 2015, UNBK followed only 170,578 learners,” he said.

UNBK is not only held in the school concerned. If the facility is not available, then can ride in another school. The test schedule is divided into several times.

The operation of UNBK currently uses a semi-networked system (online), which is sent from the central server online through the network (synchronization) to the local server (school), then the student exams are served by the local server (school) outside the network (offline). The test results are then sent back from the local server (school) to the central server online (uploaded).

A number of provinces are ready to organize 100% of UNBK in Vocational High School (SMK), namely Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Banten, Bengkulu, DI Yogyakarta, DKI Jakarta, Gorontalo, West Java, Central Java, East Java, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Lampung, West Nusa Tenggara and Central Sulawesi.

Meanwhile, at the level of Senior High School (SMA), the province is ready to hold 100% UNBK including Aceh, Banten, Bangka Belitung, DI Yogyakarta, DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Gorontalo, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Lampung, West Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara.

Then, the province that is ready to hold 100% UNBK at the level of Junior High School (SMP) is the province of DKI Jakarta and DI Yogyakarta.
