JAKARTA – The Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia said it has sent a letter to the Vietnamese related to a number of adjustments of type test certificates or vehicle type approval Indonesia to refine car exports to the neighboring country.
Director of Transportation Directorate General Facilities at the Ministry of Transportation, Eddy Gunawan, said that his party has written to Vietnam on March 6, 2018 related to the adjustment on test type or test for the feasibility of new vehicles to be exported.
So far, he said, Indonesia was in a position to wait for a reply from the Vietnamese side of the letter sent. Indonesia, he said, essentially follow the rules applied by the Vietnamese government related to the type test certificate.
Vehicles delivered to Vietnam will go through many stages when they arrive in Vietnam, such as safety and emissions testing in Vietnam. “Legality aspect, from here we try to adjust with regulation there,” he said.
