Jakarta -For Mi Fans who are still hunting Redmi 5A and Redmi Note 5 seems to have to spend a bit more deeply. The reason, Xiaomi Indonesia decided to raise the price of these two low-end phones.
Quoted from the official page of Xiaomi Indonesia, per Monday (16/7/2018), the price of Redmi 5A which originally priced Rp 999,000 through the flash sale scheme, has now become Rp 1,149,000.
Redmi Note 5 combination of 3 GB RAM and 32GB internal memory from Rp 2.5 million to Rp 2,599,000. While Redmi Note 5 with RAM and ROM 4 GB / 64 GB from Rp 3 million to Rp 3,099,000.
Xiaomi argues that the exchange rate changes affecting the cost of mobile components is the reason for this price increase.
“Due to changes in the exchange rate, which also increases the cost of components, we will adjust the price of Redmi 5A and Redmi Note 5 to ensure product quality remains the main one,” said Xiaomi, quoted by KompasTekno from Mi Community forum (16/7 / 2018).
All above prices will apply across the Authorized Mi Store and flash sale schemes in Lazada e-commerce.
Mi Fans responded to this increase in the Mi Community forum with various opinions. Some doubted this increase and some did not refuse to be raised, provided the device was easy to get.
